"Growing Resistance" by Shadia Fayne Wood. Community organizers face several crises in the Central Valley: the historic drought fueled by climate change, dangerous forms of drilling for oil and gas, and related health issues.
"The QUARE in There" by Taryn Lee Crenshaw. Defying gender boundaries and deconstructing traditional views of Blackness, this film chronicles the Oakland black queer community’s use of body, voice, and movement as sources of liberation.
