We will be screening the following:

Hey Mom by Carly McCarthy
A filmmaker's recorded phone calls with her mother are montaged with recent and old footage to convey their relationship with each other and with her mother's sobriety.

Fragile by Nilo Batle

Ex-convict Gil Batle, an artist raised in San Francisco, recounts his haunting incarceration experiences by relief-carving images on delicate ostrich eggs. Gil has been featured in CBS Sunday Morning, The Huffington Post, HiFructose, and many other media outlets.

#ExposeTheseHoes by Marielle Boland

This artistic look at exploitation, bullying, and teenage sexuality visually illustrates a teenager's experiences with two young actors.

Collecting: An Identity by Esteban Ojeda

A San Francisco couple who own a huge toy collection talk about their shared passion for collecting and how it has influenced them.

What I'm Hearing in My Head by Asha Ghosh and Kathleen Dargis

Mr. Natural, a music teacher who arrived in San Franciso just before the Summer of Love, has developed a unique method for teaching music. This is the world premiere of this film.

Beyond Recognition by Michelle Grace Steinberg and Robyn Bykofsky.

A Native woman struggles to protect her ancestors' sacred sites and vows to establish a women-led urban Indigenous land trust with her allies. This film premiered on local PBS stations.

Event includes a filmmaker Q&A at the end.
