SEE EVENT DETAILS
Come support and enjoy incredible local music and women artists - free admission!

Local Sirens: Women in Music Fest is a free, quarterly performance series curated by Women's Audio Mission with support from California Arts Council that features Bay Area women composers and musicians. The series promotes local women artists and provides high-quality, accessible music events to Bay Area residents and the SoMa/Central Market neighborhoods.

In September, Local Sirens will feature performances and special talks by two exceptional local artists:

Singer/Songwriter Diana Gameros’ music reflects the 21st century experiences of a young indie artist at the borderlands between cultures, languages, and genres. Originally from Mexico, Diana is now based in San Francisco. http://dianagameros.com/home/

Fely Tchaco is a songwriter, visual artist, fashion designer, and model from the Ivory Coast who creates a fusion of Ivory Coast traditional forest music with jazz and West African rhythms like Zaouli, Ggegbe, Gahou, and Alloukou. Her song "Goba" won the 11th Annual Independent Music Awards in the World Beat song category in 2012.
