Join us for a lovely evening with author and artist Mimi Robinson as she reads from her new book "Local Color: Seeing Place Through Watercolor." This book talk will be accompanied by a music soundtrack with performing artist Joyce Kouffman. Books will be available for purchase. Light refreshments provided.
About the Artist/Instructor:
Artist, designer, and educator Mimi Robinson began creating color palettes inspired by place for her own paintings. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Robinson has worked extensively in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and The Carribbean. She partners with artisan communities to promote and honor the use of traditional skills and local materials to build small businesses that incorporate their artistic legacies.
