Music is deep in her blood. LIZ LOKRE (pronounced lock-ree) is a singer-song-writer and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto. She has been writing and performing since she was 12, growing up singing in church and winning music competitions across North America. Her father booked live rock music in his native Dublin, while her Trinidadian mother travelled the world as an Indian dancer. It was her grandmother who had in fact pioneered a popular pre-Bollywood style of Indian dance.
Although she continues to travel regularly to LA and beyond, it’s in Toronto, that she continues to hone her craft. For the past few years, LIZ has been collaborating with producer and guitarist Adrian X (Drake, The Weeknd, PARTYNEXTDOOR).Together they have created a soulful sound that speaks to LIZ’s message and reason for singing; to unify and uplift.
With over 1 million spins on Spotify, her music is the calling card for this emerging artist. LIZ LOKRE’s debut album is set to be released later in 2019.
