On November 21st, Parker Grant, a jazz pianist and educator currently based in Oakland, will be performing. He is an alumni of the Stanley and Acalanes music programs in Lafayette, and first attended the LAFSMW in 2003 when he was in 7th grade. He attended the University of Miami where he studied with Martin Bejerano and Brian Lynch. Since graduation he has become active on the Bay Area jazz scene, and performs regularly with the band Tanks and Planes at the Burritt Room in SF.
