SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Black Cat (see times)
Saxophonist and composer Remy LeBoeuf sees music as language. His upcoming album “Light as a Word” develops a series of sonic dialogues, forcing the band to dig deeper and deeper into technical and emotional chemistry. The album features LeBoeuf’s long-time collaborators including Aaron Parks, Walter Smith III, Charles Altura, Matt Brewer and Peter Knonreif. Remy is celebrated for his unique blend of modern jazz, contemporary classical music, and indie-rock styles. He has performed and collaborated with many greats in the business, including Wyton Marsalis, Knower, Linda Oh, and his twin brother Pascal, with whom he co-leads the Grammy-nominated ensemble LeBoeuf Brothers. Joining Remy will be Greg Johnson (tenor sax / on 6/5), Martha Kata (keyboard), Giulio Xavier (bass) and Mark Ferber (drums).
