LIVE JAZZ - NYC *ALL-STAR* JAZZ RENEGADES: BIG YUKI + BRAD MILLER + SHARIQ TUCKER + PATRICK BARTLEY

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Black Cat (see times)

This group creates an entirely new sound by infusing elements of jazz, classical, hip-hop, soul, rock, dance and electronica into their music.
Big Yuki redefines the keyboard. He has been featured on A Tribe Called Quest’s “We Got it from Here/Thank You for your Service” and J. Cole’s “Your Eyez Only”. He has collaborated with Q-Tip, Bilal, Talib Kwell, Harvey Mason and others. His debut album “Reaching for Chiron” was hailed as “sonically immersive” (WBGO), “a celestial strain of synth jazz” (DJ Mag), and “sonically kaleidoscopic...and infectiously interesting” (PopMatters). Shariq Tucker, winner of the National Guitar Center “Drum-off Competition” explodes the drums and beats. He travels the globe as the drummer for the Stanley Clarke Band and has performed with Alicia Keys, Swizz Beats, Travis McClung, and others. Click HERE to listen to Shariq Tucker's music!
Brad Miller’s trademark bass grooves are setting him apart as “one to watch” in the NYC jazz scene. At just 24 he has played with Gloria Estefan, James Francies, Jon Batiste, Oz Noy, Randy Bernsen, Ira Sullivan, Kofi Burbridge and Othello Molineaux and has performed at NYC’s top jazz venues including Dizzy’s, Carnegie Hall and Smalls. Patrick Bartley’s visceral sax solos turned heads during his recent weeklong residency with Jon Batiste at NYC’s storied Village Vanguard. Afterwards, he played with jazz legend Herbie Hancock and then performed on Late Night with Colbert. He was featured on an Emmy-nominated HBO special with Wynton Marsalis.
