The New York Times described singer/songwriter/guitarist sensation Camila Meza as “an appealing combination of lightness and depth...a bright, clear voice against the agile uproar of a world-class band.” Billboard says that the Chilean-born musician “captivates the crowds...delivering an extra dose of eclectic brashness” wherever she performs in NYC and across the globe.
Bassist and composer Adi Myerson was born in San Francisco to American parents and relocated to Israel at the age of 2. She moved to New York for her jazz training at the New School. Adi not only hears music, she also sees it. “I have this thing called synesthesia,” she said in a Billboard interview, explaining how her brain is wired to link sound with colors, letters, and numbers. Needless to say, her approach to music is fascinating! Known for her combination of strength and poise on the bass, she regularly performs at the top venues in NYC including Dizzy’s, Smalls, Smoke, and Jazz Standard. She is thinking about composing a suite inspired by the work of sculptor Yayoi Kusama, whose intense, variegated art triggers sonic explosions in Meyerson’s brain: “Her colors are like...sound everywhere.”
**Band plays from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM with breaks. Seated tickets are for specified time on ticket. Guests are encouraged and welcome to show up a little early to catch the show and grab a drink from the bar. Tax and service charge included in ticket price.**
