Trailer Park Poet Takes on PBS with Nor Cal Concert
Big Bird meets the pink flamingo as Antsy McClain takes his unique blend of music and storytelling to the national stage via Public Television .
Antsy McClain and his Trailer Park Troubadours have been a popular fixture in the Northern California music scene for the last decade, but they say they've been called "the best band you've never heard of" long enough. It's time for an upgrade.
They will be performing one night only at The Mello Center in Watsonville, California on Saturday, April 6th at 8 PM. Tickets are $49, with proceeds going to the production of the film and it's subsequent promotion. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.unhitched.com. Tickets for a special VIP after-party/brunch at noon on Sunday April 7th are also available.
They will be performing fan favorites from their 14 albums spanning 20 years, as well as some new material from their new album, Living the Dream.
Award-winning producer Peter Berkow will be at the helm for this concert, which is part of a series to be released to Public Television nationally. Berkow has worked with Dave Brubeck, Bela Fleck, Rodney Crowell, Tommy Emmanuel, Sam Bush, Dan Fogelberg and many others.
For interview requests with Antsy McClain and members of The Trailer Park Troubadours, or to receive more photos and information, please call Sue Butler at 707-342-9072. http://www.unhitched.com/TPT_ON_PBS.html
