Little Mix were crowned winners of UK’s The X Factor in December of 2011. On June 5, 2013 the band’s album, DNA, became the highest debut ever for a British female group’s first album, entering at Number 4 and eclipsing a sixteen-year-old record previously held by the Spice Girls.
Within two years, the group went from obscurity to being one of the biggest bands on the planet.
On their second album, Salute, they experiment with trap on the Beyoncé-inspired title song, old school R&B on the groove-led “Mr Loverboy†and acapella harmonies on “Boy.†Bold, confident, emotionally-resonate and bursting with character, Salute is said to be a quantum leap forward from what Little Mix have done in the past.
Jackson Guthy and My Crazy Girlfriend are also scheduled to perform tonight.
