Listening Party with Terence Blanchard

Step into the SFJAZZ "living room" and hear artists and tastemakers spinning their favorite recordings while in conversation. Listening Parties offer listeners the chance to get behind-the- scenes and hear about music from the artist's perspective. The format is an on-stage conversation in the Robert N. Miner Auditorium, accompanied by the artist's pick of recorded, and sometimes live, excerpts. The conversation closes with questions from the audience followed by a reception with complimentary drinks and bites.

This Listening Party features SFJAZZ Executive Artistic Director Terence Blanchard discussing everything from his E-Collective band, his experience performing with legends like Herbie Hancock and Art Blakey, future artistic plans for SFJAZZ, and much more.

6:30PM: Pre-Show Reception in the Grand Lobby & Fisher Family Lobby with a complimentary glass of wine

7:30PM: Terence Blanchard in conversation with Michael League in the Miner Auditorium, followed by a short Q&A Session

8:30PM: Post-show reception on the 2nd floor Fisher Family Lobby with complimentary coffee, tea & sweet bites

Listening Parties are complimentary to all current SFJAZZ Members. Ticket(s) must be reserved online. Members may bring one additional guest for free. Premium seating will be reserved for Leaders Circle Members. Also, please note that if you are unable to attend, the Listening Party will be live-streamed.
