The partnership between Stanford Live and the San Francisco Symphony that began in 2019 with the opening of the newly renovated Frost Amphitheater continues this summer with Saturday evening performances led by a variety of guest conductors.
Praised for her "attention to orchestral colors" (OperaWire) and ability to create "lightning changes in tempo, meter, and effect" (Boston Musical Intelligencer), Colombian-American Lina Gonzalez-Granados has distinguished herself nationally and internationally as a talented young conductor of symphonic and operatic repertoire. In her second appearance with the SF Symphony, she conducts a program of de Falla, Schumann, and Kodály.
