Life in Transit: Film Screening with Filmmaker Q&A

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Presented by SF Urban Film Fest
Hosted by The East Cut Community Benefit District
The fast-paced life of the city is facilitated by great transit infrastructure, but slowing down to connect with your fellow urban dwellers may be the best investment you will make. Join the SF Urban Film Fest and The East Cut Community Benefit District at the "Life in Transit" film screening event to enjoy three films that illuminate the human stories that turn the most mundane places - sidewalks, BART stations, and park benches - into the extraordinary. Filmmakers' Q&A will follow directly after the screening.

Films:
Agent of Connection (3.5 mins), Dir. Ivan Cash - A BART station agent finds meaning through the simple act of saying hello.
There's Always A Way (3 mins) Dir. Darryl Jones - An animated short film envisions a community where the public right-of-way is safe for everyone that walks.
Palm Trees Down 3rd Street (18.5 mins), Dir. Maria Judice - Two teenaged girls navigate the streets and subways of San Francisco to find they share a surprising connection.

Schedule:
6:00pm - 7:00pm - Mix and Mingle
7:00pm - 7:45pm - Introductions and Film Screening
7:45pm - 8:15pm - Filmmakers' Q&A: Moderators: Fay Darmawi and Robin Abad, SF Urban Film Fest

Tickets:
$10/person including one complimentary drink ticket via Eventbrite until midnight May 17th, 2018.
$10/person at the door.
$5/drink at the event.
