'Liberty' National Juried Exhibition Opening Reception

The 1776 United States Declaration of Independence states that all men have a right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." The exhibition, "Liberty," addresses the meaning of liberty and the struggles in this country to achieve and maintain it, ranging from freedom from foreign rule, emancipation from slavery, civil rights, women's right to vote, reproductive choice, gender rights, farm workers' rights, rights of refugees, access to health care, right to bear arms and so on.

Juror: Donna Seager of Seager Gray Gallery in Mill Valley, CA

Juror's Award
Works by Marie Bergstedt, Geoffrey Nelson and Arika Von Edler have been selected to receive the Juror's Choice Award. Each winner will receive a $250 check, certificate, ribbon, and exhibition catalog.
