Level 3: Group Play and Environment a.k.a. The Monoscene
Instructor: Marcus SamsPrerequisites: Level 2 or instructor approvalSchedule: Tuesday Nights, May 14th thru July 2nd (5/14, 5/21, 5/28, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18, 2/25, 7/2)Time: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM.Grad Show: TBD8 Classes - Total of 24 hours of instruction. Student cap is 16.
Investment: $300
Description: Scenes including three or more people are quite different than two-person scenes and require a different approach to be successful. In this class, you will learn how to skillfully navigate multi-performer scenes and use environment to create story through advanced space object techniques that unlock unlimited possibilities. The core skills you will learn in this class (object creation, world building, patience, silence, etc) bringing nuance to your improv that will yield deeper, richer and hilariously connected scenes. You will also learn the classic Chicago format, The Monoscene, and perform it in a 30-minute grad show.
Please note that you MUST be present for the first and the final classes and can miss no more than 2 classes in order to perform in the grad show and to move on to the next level. If you have questions email: [email protected]
Bring water, clothing easy to move in, something to take notes, and a yesAND attitude! Class will start on time with no exceptions. Students are encouraged to show up 10 minutes early to connect with fellow classmates and to ensure we start on time! I will re-check the door once, 10 minutes after the class has begun.

Legal Stuff...
I, the ticket purchaser/workshop attendee, do hereby submit my application for attendance and participation in said Moment Improv Theatre Class. I fully understand that though the activities performed in the workshop are inherently safe, and when performed properly injuries are rare, there are physical activities involved, and as such, participation includes a minimal risk of injury. I hereby assume full responsibility for any and all damages, injuries, or losses to myself or my property that I may sustain or incur, if any, while attending or participating. I agree to hold harmless and waive my right to all claims against the instructors and or facilities. I consent that any photos taken, video or other, of me in connection with this event can be used for publicity or promotion, and I waive compensation in regard thereto. I understand that the fee for the class must be paid in full prior to the beginning of instruction, and if fees are not paid, I may be excluded from participating. If for some reason I am not able to attend any of the workshop dates a refund will not be issued.
I have read, fully understand the above agreement and waiver and agree to the terms set forth by way of a ticket purchase.
