Description: This six-week class is for anyone interested in the art form of improvisation. You will gain the fundamental tools of improv through engaging exercises and group game play. Students will bolster their soft skill sets and learn to create without judgment. By minimizing the negative speak you will find freedom and unlock your creative potential as you play like a kid again. Great for humans with zero improv experience or for the working player that wants to revisit their improv roots. There is no grad show for this class, just fun, fun, and more fun. Although missing class is less than ideal, students are allowed to miss no more than 1 class in the series, to be elegible for the next level.
This class is the first class in the Moment 6 level training program. As such, students enrolled in this class will be given priority enrollment for the next session which is Level 2 that will start on July 12th. A special thing about this first class is that levels 1-4 are scheduled on Thursday evenings all the way up to the new year. This will be the only time students will be able to take the first four levels consecutively on a single night before individual level classes will be hopping around to different days of the week. Also, students will be taking the first four levels with Marcus Sams, the Artistic Director of Moment Improv Theatre (The guy who designed the program). So, if you want the info directly from the source, clear your thursday nights from 7-10 and join us.
Bring water, clothing easy to move in, something to take notes, and a yesAND attitude! Class will start on time with no exceptions. Students are encouraged to show up 10 minutes early to connect with fellow classmates and to ensure we start on time! I will re-check the door once, 10 minutes after the class has begun.
