Les Twins vs. King Charles and Prince Jaron: A Street Dance Battle

SEE EVENT DETAILS
City Dance Studios presents Les Twins vs. King Charles and Prince Jaron in a must see two on two exhibition dance battle at the Palace of Fine Arts
on Friday June 9th, 2017 at 8pm.

Les Twins will face off against King Charles and Prince Jaron for 3 rounds
to music chosen by acclaimed DJ Tomahawk Bang. King Charles and Prince Jaron will have their work cut out for them if they are to beat Les Twins, who are currently undefeated when they battle together.

Les Twins: From Paris, France
Identical twins Larry and Laurent Bourgeois, are currently the world’s most famous street dancers. They have toured extensively with Beyoncé and
they are currently appearing in Jennifer Lopez’s World of Dance on NBC.

King Charles and Prince Jaron: From South Chicago
Charles Parks and Jaron Boyd, are famous for bringing world recognition to the unique style of Chicago Footworking. Highly skilled and extremely
entertaining, King Charles has recently been winning battles all over
the world. Jaron Boyd, who works with youth in his neighborhood and who’s program was recently visited by Barak and Michelle Obama, may be less well known around the world, but his skills are sharper than ever because of the work that he does within his community. Charles and Jaron toured extensively with Madonna and have also danced together for many years. They met Les Twins 10 years ago in Helsinki and have remained close.

To see dancers of this calibre face off in a battle, one must travel to Europe or Asia to attend arena sized events such as Paris’s legendary Juste Debout competition.
City Dance Live is very fortunate to bring these four amazing dancers
to San Francisco.

The exhibition battle will be a part of a follow-up production of the bi-annual City Dance OnStage performance event that was unfortunately interrupted in April by the tragic death of The Palace’s sound technician. The evening will also feature 9 additional pieces by some of the best Bay Area dancers including Kida The Great who recently won So You Think You Can Dance : Next Generation.

City Dance was founded in 2003 and has three locations in San Francisco.
They offer the best selection of urban dance classes in the city and
brings world class artists to the city every month for special workshops and events including the sold out show at the Palace of Fine Arts with
Nederlands Dance Theater 2 in 2015.

Tickets ($30-$60) are available at. https://www.CDML.EventBrite.com
