Left Bank Brasserie Menlo Park will host an Oysters & Loire Valley Wine celebration beginning on Monday, March 10 and continuing through Friday, March 14. They will feature a choice of three Loire Valley wines that will be offered in a flight of two-ounce pours for $13.00 (also available by the glass, carafe or bottle) ideal for enjoying with special a la carte oyster-focused lunch and dinner menu items including six raw oysters on the half shell with mignonette and horseradish ($11.95); Oyster And Salsify Soup with oyster beignets, artichoke chips and sorrel scented oil ($10.75); and Raw Oyster And Herring Tartare with horseradish cream sauce and beet salad ($11.50). All regular a la carte lunch and dinner offerings will also be available.
Left Bank will be pouring a Pascal Bellier, Cheverny Blanc, 2011 ($12.00 per glass, $36.00 per carafe, $48.00 per bottle); Domaine de Bel Air, Pouilly Fume, 2012 ($15.00 per glass, $45.00 per carafe, $60.00 per bottle); and Joel Delaunay, Touraine, 2012 ($10.00 per glass, $30.00 per carafe, $40.00 per bottle).
