Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur will be celebrating "Vin Rosé et Cuisine Provençale", the rosé wine and food of Provence, France, beginning on Monday, August 12 and continuing through Friday, August 16. It will feature a choice of three Provence appellation rosé wines selected by Master Sommelier Eric Entrikin and offered in a flight of two ounce pours for $12.00 (also served by the glass, carafe or bottle) ideal for enjoying along with special a la carte Provençale-inspired items served for lunch and dinner. The regular a la carte lunch and dinner menus will also be available.
This celebration affords Left Bank Brasserie guests the opportunity to partake of a taste of Provence in a dining room awash in lavender and sunflowers.
The menu specials are Chickpea crêpe with olives, Laughing Bird shrimp, tomato salad ($12.75); Warm Goat Cheese Salad with pine nuts, bacon, honey lavender vinaigrette ($11.50); Cuttlefish with artichoke, eggplant, tomato stew ($21.50); Chicken sautéed in herbs de Provence and vermouth, with fried eggplant ($25.75); and a Strawberry Tartlet with olive oil cream ($6.75).
The rosé wine selections will be Domaine de Beaupré 2012 Côteaux d’Aix en Provence (40% Carignan, 30% Cinsault, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon; $12.00 a glass, $30.00 a carafe, $42.00 a bottle), Chateau Routas 2012 Côteaux Varois (45% Cinsault, 35% Grenache, 20% Syrah; $10.00 a glass, $25.00 a carafe, $35.00 a bottle), and Mas de Pampelonne 2012 Côtes du Provence (60% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 10% Tibouren; $14.00 a glass, $35.00 a carafe, $49.00 a bottle).
