In a hands-on workshop, Maud Daujean, photographer and author of "Faces of Los Altos (Every Wrinkle Tells a Story)," shares tips and tricks on how to take a perfect portrait. Hosted by Los Altos History Museum, "Learn To: Portrait Photography," will be held Saturday, Feb 19th at 10:30am, followed by a book signing at noon.
The class will begin with an overview of Maud's impressive portfolio, and you will hear about her current project shooting photographs from the rooftops of Paris. Then it's your turn. Using your own camera or smart phone, Maud will work with you as you practice taking photos. Learn tips on lighting, backgrounds, camera settings, and how to put your subject at ease.
Registration required at losaltoshistory.org/PortraitPhotography. The event is free to attend and limited to 20 in-person participants. It is also available for observers via Zoom. This event will be held in full compliance with Santa Clara County COVID-19 regulations in effect on this date.
