Leah has played for audiences from Monterey to Memphis to Paris, France. Her debut album ‘Real Good Fire’ spawned a Billboard award winning song (‘You Don't Scare Me’) and has received acclaim and airplay across the country and in Europe. Just released, Tysse’s sophomore album ‘LOVE AGAIN’ has been picked up for worldwide distribution by Sony Music Entertainment.
Filled with songs of love, heartache and real-life commentary, 'LOVE AGAIN' is an album reflective of Leah’s story and presents a slice of time in her life which she expresses with remarkable vulnerability. Her style is very playful yet deeply emotional and the sound pulls from her love of neo-soul, old soul and the beauty of well-crafted song from any genre.
Containing 10 original tracks and 3 re-makes masterfully flipped and arranged by Leah's co-producer/songwriter/keyboardist Mike Blankenship (Lauryn Hill, Shelia E., Ledisi), 'LOVE AGAIN' is more than just a follow-up record, it is a musical evolution for Tysse.
This evolution is evident on the album's first single, "Hope Is Rising", a track that infuses Leah's melodic vocals with the funky styling's of producer and keyboardist Sundra Manning (Prince, MC Hammer, The Roots). Also joining her on this album are co-producer, songwriter and keyboardist Lynette Williams (Will.I.Am.), bassist Eric "Pikfunk" Smith (Rihanna, Lalah Hathaway, Fantasia), guitarist Errol Cooney (Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx, Goapele) and drummer Chris Johnson (Rihanna).
Her live show, Directed by Mike Blankenship, is an artfully-crafted high-energy portrait of Leah’s songs, musicianship and ability to draw you in with her voice and command of the stage. And, as the East Bay Express put it, “Tysse’s Band is Fabulous!”
