About the Latino Comic Expo
Founded in 2011 by Ricardo Padilla and Javier Hernandez, The Latino Comics Expo aims to gather creators and fans together for a weekend to celebrate the art and imagination of Latino artists and writers in the fields of comics, graphic novels, political cartoons, children's literature, animation and related popular arts forms. As the nation's first comic convention dedicated to spotlighting the work of Latino creators, the Expo has inspired others to start their own conventions, further raising the awareness of Latino creativity across numerous art forms.
