Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica--Larger Than Life: The Artwork of Tony Natsoulas, featuring large scale figurative ceramic sculptures with a lighthearted touch curated by Phil Linhares, will open in the Sanchez Art Center Main Gallery on Friday, June 9, with an evening reception from 7 to 9 pm. Resilience, adapting to challenging events, a group show featuring the artwork of 30 SF Bay Area artists, acting as ambassadors on the theme by applying their artistic talent to broaden people's perceptions and ability to develop resilience personally, as well as for the greater good for humanity and the earth, will open concurrently in the East Gallery. And, in the West Gallery, Art Guild of Pacifica members are sharing their work made in a variety of mediums in a group show titled, Sea & Forest. The public is welcome to enjoy and converse with artists in all three exhibitions for the opening night reception that will also include live music by Mojazz Trio. An artist gallery walk/community event will take place for Resilience on Saturday, June 24, beginning at 2:00 pm. On the final day of all three exhibitions, Sunday, July 9, beginning at 3:30 pm, artist Tony Natsoulas and curator Phil Linhares will be in conversation in the Main Gallery about the work.
