About the instructor: Mandar is an award winning artist who is inspired by the magic of nature. He loves painting landscapes in a vibrant and energetic style using soft pastels. After spending 12 years in New York, he moved to California in 2014 and has been inspired by the beauty of the West Coast ever since. He enjoys painting Alameda landscapes in all its glory and feels the city’s natural beauty and its homes offer a lot of inspiration to let lose our artistic and creative spirits. He enjoys sharing and co-creating with other artists. Mandar’s art was featured in two recent publications, Alameda magazine and Alameda Architectural Preservation Society’s Quarterly publication. Mandar was the winner of the People’s Choice award at the 2017 Plein Air Paint Out event in Alameda that was participated by forty accomplished artists from all over the country.
