Lambchop is a genre of one. Twelve albums and two decades into its career, the Nashville band, led by singer-guitarist Kurt Wagner, still belongs to no movement, no category, no trend. They have been called "arguably the most consistently brilliant and unique American group to emerge during the 1990s"
Vetiver formed by San Francisco's own Andy Cabic in 2002, has a considerable following and critical accolades for their unique blend of Folk, Psych, West Coast country. Andy collaborates with Devendra Banhart, Johanna Newson and Vashti Bunyan. Led by Andy, the group has become a sort of supergroup of innovative indie artists.
Marc Capelle is a composer, arranger, and musician, leads the all-star soul band Marc & the Casuals, and is musical director and pianist for the Porchlight Storytelling series.
