There are three key ingredients that make up San Francisco punk band La Plebe: bilingual lyrics, a horn section and, um, vomit. They claim their shows are so high energy that band members frequently puke on stage. The musicians have been throwing up on stage since 2001, and ride that line between pop-punk and hardcore that NOFX and several Epitaph bands have been doing the past couple decades-though mostly in Spanish. They blast through punk rock riffs with horns blaring over the top of it. Just seeing those horn players blow into their instruments, red in the face, while dancing full throttle might make anyone a little queasy. (Aaron Carnes)
