In addition, they create internationally-recognized theater and digital programming, and have helped launch a national network of over 70 programs which believe in the power of young people.
The Living Earth Show is a megaphone and canvas for some of the world's most progressive artists. Comprised of electric guitarist Travis Andrews and percussionist Andy Meyerson, the San Francisco-based ensemble uses the traditions of classical and experimental music as tools to allow artists of all disciplines to create their most ambitious works and respond to the world in which they live.
San Francisco Performances presents these three leading contemporary music artist groups in their performance of the World Premiere of Danny Clay's piece "Echoes." Through stories, voices, and histories that are rooted in the Civic Center area and the Veteran's Building, this project brings together poets and musicians to shed light on the echoing effects of San Francisco's accelerating gentrification.
