Come for a night of beautiful chanting. Mangalananda is a kirtan singer well-versed in the traditional kirtan style of the rural villages of India. His kirtan is couched in the mystical ragas of India and is full of the lively ecstatic joy of the Divine Names. If you love to chant, he and his band will be a performance not to miss.
Mangalananda is Acharya of Ma Anandamayi Ashram in India, where he lived for twelve years. He has been touring the US and Europe since 2007 giving kirtan and workshop presentations and just recently completed a new kirtan CD, Auspicious Bliss (with a very successful and well-attended CD release concert at the Performing Arts Center in San Rafael). Acharya Mangalananda also just performed at Bhakti Fest.
