Kirtan at Earth Tribe Yoga

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Join Naad Kaur & friends (Sat Siri Kaur on harmonium and Dharam Deep on guitar) for an evening of kirtan at Earth Tribe Yoga.

Naad Kaur has practiced yoga and meditation as a path of self-healing, a journey that culminated in becoming a Kundalini Yoga teacher and Kirtan singer-songwriter. Her intention is to radiate love and healing energy to benefit and elevate all beings to greet their inner self healer. ~Suni' ai= listening "Your well Being is my well Being." Naad Kaar

Sat Siri Kaur (Kelli Gayle) is a graduate of the Kundalini Research Institute, Aquarian Teacher 3HO, Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Course. She has been studying Kundalini, consciousness and meditation for the past 11 years. She also received a degree in Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2007. Kundalini Yoga is a powerful technology for transformation. This 5,000 year-old science was brought to the West in 1969 by Yogi Bhajan. Kundalini Yoga strengthens the nervous system, the immune system and promotes overall health. It is Kriya Yoga, a structured set of exercises including mantra, meditation, mudra, and breath work. It brings balance to the body, mind and soul. Kundalini is the creative potential that exists in everyone. Yogi Bhajan said: "Happiness is our birthright."

Dharam Deep is currently leading the way for a new era and revolution of dance music, sound healing, and kirtan in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Leading workshops in Ojai, Santa Cruz, Oakland, San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, Dharam is taking his background in electronic dance music and blending it with the uplifting, consciousness-expanding, and heart-opening practice of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation.

Dharam Deep experienced a near death experience (NDE) that turned his body blue and brought his consciousness deep into the white light in 2001. In the warm-white glow, he received message from the other side that told him, “Don’t worry about ANY thing… ever.” This experience renewed his faith in the Universe and inspired him to return to his roots of connecting with the cosmos, the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth; while studying every religion he could find. By 2005, Dharam had explored many wisdom traditions and houses of worship including Christian Assembly in Eagle Rock, California. It was here that he felt the one Great “spirit” upon each visit and had many visionary, mystical experiences; that he would later discover were related to the Crown Chakra being opened - the Tenth Gate - the 'thousand petaled lotus.'

Dr. Wayne Dyer’s Eastern-influenced morning and evening meditations played a big role in opening up the subtle channels of awareness to experience these transcendent states of bliss and awakening. By 2007, a life-threatening illness fell upon Dharam and it was here that Dharam found strength in the wise words of Yogi Bhajan as he faced the depths of death and despair. Through the help and prayers of family and friends, and Yogi Bhajan's healing words of encouragement from beyond the grave, Dharam miraculously and fully recovered with even more vitality and vigor than before.

Upon realizing that Yogi Bhajan was an ascended master sent from the grave by God to awaken Dharam from his slumber, he sought out all the information he could on Kundalini Yoga & Meditation. Dharam’s first Kundalini Yoga class was a Third Eye Meditation workshop with Guru Dev Singh at Golden Bridge Yoga in Hollywood, CA. It was energizing and trippy at the same time. The group chanting was powerful and a deep respect for the tradition grew within Dharam; even as the yogini on the mat next to him mocked the style of dress and turbans donned by many of the yogis in the workshop. After experiencing another visionary and mystical experience - a deep connection and strong opening of the Third Eye - similar to Doreen Virtue's account written about in "The Lightworker's Way," Golden Bridge Yoga became a second home to Dharam throughout the years. Deep would often take classes back to back on the unlimited monthly pass. Dharam Deep has studied Kundalini Yoga for over 7 years and has been teaching in the Bay Area since 2012. Dharam teaches regularly at the Center SF on Fillmore every Friday at 11am.

Kundalini Yoga is an uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices. This yoga style incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation, and the chanting of mantras, such as Sat nam ("I am truth"). The goal is to build physical vitality and increase consciousness.

Using sound, breath, and posture, Kundalini Yoga aims to develop spiritual awareness by freeing the spiral power (Kundalini) that is coiled in the base of the spine and drawing it upward through the seven chakras.

Join us for a night of chanting and awakening to the divine spirit and light that lies within all of us as we united in sound. A Full Moon Gathering at Earth Tribe Yoga. $10-$15 suggested donation. RSVP at [email protected]
