Vivafest continues with Kinky, a five-piece alternative rock band from Monterrey, Mexico. In their 15-year career, they've combined so many different elements that they've subverted nearly every description and genre. They fuse Latin dance, rock, post-punk, electronica, funk and rap. A lot of their best songs mix powerful rock & roll guitar riffs with heavy dance beats in a way that technically shouldn't work, but totally does. Their most famous song, "Mas," (2002) has been featured in commercials, TV shows, movies and video games all over the planet. In 2006, they released the wildly popular (and damn catchy) dark disco tune "¿A Donde Van Los Muertos?" (Aaron Carnes)
