King Woman is the creative project of NYC-based songwriter, producer, and vocalist Kris Esfandiari, whose heavy-laden vocals drive the band's commanding sound which was founded in 2009.
King Woman's debut album Created in the Image of Suffering (2017) first introduced Esfandiari's blend of doom and spiritual catharsis where she sings on being raised in a cult-like Charismatic Christian environment marked by exorcisms and home church services.
