His first, Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast sounds more like Licensed to Ill-era Beastie Boys than it does Papa Roach. (It also contains the song "Yo-Da-Lin in the Valley," one of the few hip-hop songs where a rapper graphically boasts about his cunnilingus skills.) Through the years, Kid Rock has not only stayed relevant, he's shown incredible range by playing a more country-flavored southern-rock sound of late.
