Kickoff California State Parks Week at Samuel P. Taylor SP

Join California State Parks, California State Parks Foundation, Parks California, and Save the Redwoods League for a day of fun to kickoff California State Parks Week at Samuel P. Taylor State Park. Celebrate community and culture from 11am to 2pm at this historic and popular campground.
Expect all kinds of fun programs and events! Hike through an old growth Redwood Grove. Take a guided hike to learn about the local wildlife and learn about the work being done by state parks and our partners to protect the park and its diverse ecosystems.
Plus get the chance to meet with our many Bay Area Partners who work to protect, preserve, and care for our shared lands!

Samuel P. Taylor State Park, Redwood Grove Group Day Use Area
8889 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Lagunitas, CA 94938
Enter through the main entrance off of Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Kiosk staff will direct you to the day use parking in the Azalea Picnic Area. From there, walk west along the park road and across the bridge towards the Redwood Grove Picnic Area, which will be on the left side of the road just past the bridge.
Visitors are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and layered clothing as the park is often cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons. If you are planning to head out on the trails, we recommend packing water and snacks.
