Kepler 452b
Berlin art collective Kepler 452b presents their San Francisco debut — an immersive multi-sensory art happening at The Great Northern, Sunday, November 4th, 2018.
Kepler 452b is an immersive event combining art, performance, installation, fashion, music and dance party. Using the metaphor of space migration, our event will create a venue for envisioning possible futures - of openness, collective action, inclusion, self-expression and collective-individualism.

Discovered by NASA in 2015, Kepler 452b is a potentially habitable Super-Earth located 1400 light years away. Inspired by this distant planet and incorporating the metaphor of space migration, the event will create a venue for envisioning possible futures - of openness, collective action, inclusion, self-expression and collective individualism.
Throughout the night, the event will be delineated into three chapters: launching from Earth, entering space, and finally landing on Kepler 452b. A series of live performances, art installations and DJ sets will be carried out in conjunction with each theme. Participants will connect with one another through interactive performances and self transformation.
Kepler's envisioned society has no nations and no imaginary borders. No mass fictions, no shared belief systems, no indigenous to displace, no emissions to reduce, no plastic to clean up.
Debut Event: The first Kepler event was held on September 23, 2017 in Berlin and was a creative success. Resident Advisor labeled the event their RA top pick and Kepler 452b received heart-warming appraisal from many of the roughly 500 attendees. Since then they have performed in Shangha, Tel Aviv and a number of venues in Berlin.

Kepler 452b is a globel art community creating ongoing multi-location projects in major cities (Berlin, Shanghai, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and now San Francisco). Combining music, performance, lecture, workshop, and dance party, audiences will be lead through an experience with integrated elements and an emphasis on participation, blurring the line between the performer and participants. The goal is to transport the audiences to planet Kepler 452b metaphorically, spiritually, and emotionally through collective imagination that inspires individual transformation and collective actions.
