Ken Newman
http://www.kennewmanmusic.com/

Ken Newman is a San Francisco-based Singer/Songwriter. He currently performs solo and with his band, “Berkeley Bronx.”

For the past seven years, Ken’s earnings from music have been donated to homeless charities in San Francisco, specifically, Compass Family Services and Larkin St. Youth Services.

In October 2016, he and his friend, Bronica Blue started their own street-outreach program called, “Blanket The Homeless.” The mission is to package up emergency blankets, socks, hats, gloves, first aid supplies, and other items, bring them to live shows, and have audience members distribute them to people living on the streets of San Francisco. Since its inception, thousands of these ‘care packages’ have been given out. BTH is now partnering with St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco to expand their services.

Ken will be one of the artists on a compilation album featuring Fantastic Negrito, John Craigie, Tim Bluhm, King Dream and others. This album, “Blanket The Homeless” is being produced by Scott Mickelson. All proceeds from sales and live performances will also benefit BTH.

Ken’s upcoming album, “Dreaming of Guns,” is scheduled for release in early 2020.

Johnny J Blair
https://www.facebook.com/singeratlargejohnnyjblair/

"Singer at Large" and recording artist Johnny J. Blair is known for his innovative brand of “pop music with a twist,” a fast-paced mix of old school soul/rhythm and blues, psychedelia, punk/new wave, and melodicism breathed by classical, gospel, jazz, and world beat. Goldmine Magazine said his music is “pop music with a conscience,” while Spotlight Magazine dubbed Blair “the Harry Houdini of rock and roll” for his ongoing “escape from typecasts.” Blair was called “a white James Brown” by Brown’s legendary drummer, Clyde Stubblefield. Earcandy.com called him “a delightful entertainer.” Rock legend Brian Wilson called him “a virtuoso.”

As a solo act, Blair performs with “vivid passion.” His typical set includes originals joined to wide-ranging covers, from glam rock to Motown to show tunes to spirituals. For over twenty years Blair has issued acclaimed recordings—from the “new wave concept album” DOOR IN THE WATER to the recent Roxy Music/Velvet Underground inspired I LIKE THE STREET (with David Bowie's pianist, Mike Garson).

Blair has collaborated with and produced a variety of artists, including 19 years with Davy Jones of The Monkees. (Blair played bass in the Davy Jones touring band and Monkees Reunion Tours). Blair said, “I learned valuable stagecraft from David.” For more go to https://www.johnnyjblair.com
