Keepers of Humanity is an emerging piano-driven indie rock band from the city of San Francisco. Their unexpected sound features Jean Nanjo's innocent yet seductive vocals set to her complex and powerful songwriting, reminding listeners of Kate Bush, Tori Amos, and Amanda Palmer. A former classical pianist, Nanjo draws influences from theater, folk, world, and alternative rock, to create compelling songs and lyrics that resonate with anyone who has felt torn between worlds. Bass player Rudy Choy is a former dj who co- founded Day One DJs open mic night, showcasing local djs and emcees. His innate ability to assemble lush beats and his eclectic taste in music can be heard in his interesting and satisfying bass grooves. Drummer Harrison Leong played previously with rock bands Zero Mass and Tunestone, and has now found a perfect showcase for his natural drumming style - dynamic, intricate and unconventional.
