Ludwig van Beethoven Trio in C minor, Op. 9, No. 3

Joseph Edelberg, concertmaster of the Santa Rosa Symphony, Principal Viola of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra Paul Ehrlich, and ‘cellist with the San Francisco Symphony David Goldblatt come together to perform a program of works by Boccherini, Beethoven, and the rarely performed Hyacinthe Jadin. At the age of 13, Jadin’s first publicly performed work premiered the same year as the start of the French Revolution, and he succumbed to tuberculosis at the age of 24. During his brief life, he composed a large number of works for piano, chamber ensemble, and orchestra, including his Trio for Violin, Viola, and ‘Cello, Op. 2, No. 1. Today, his music is seen as a bridge between the works of Mozart and of Schubert.
