JOHNNY AND THE HOLY MACKERELS Maya Hall, The Royal Panics

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Johnny and the Holy Mackerels are a unique rock n' roll trio from SF, musically somewhere between Bowie, QOTSA, and the Beach Boys. Consisting of just a heavy guitar, drums and beautiful vocal harmonies.

Maya Hall : Vocalist Maya Hall, born in Fukuoka, Japan, moved to San Francisco in 2014 in search of bigger musical pastures. The self-taught guitarist/songwriter’s chord progressions, dainty riffs, and interesting rhythms are a perfect match for her silky, sweet vocal style.

The Royal Panics : A 'melange of old school garage and punk is what they are all about... layered in catchy riffs.' (Orcasound ) The Royal Panics want you to want them. In 2017, the rock punk trio performed a few shows at SXSW in Austin as well as Noise Pop. Completing their debut vinyl LP at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco, they celebrated with a sold-out all-ages Friday at Bottom of the Hill. Singer Greg Hoy' 'clear-eyed rock is fueled by straight-up melodicism' (Time Out NY), and rhythm section 'Nicholson and Galway provide the super solid rhythms that drive these tracks.' (babysue)
