We are proud to host an evening with John Zarobell, a truly deep thinking art historian and critic. Mr. Zarobell will discuss his new book, Art and the Global Economy, published by University of California Press.
Art and the Global Economy gives us a deeper understanding of how globalization affects the visual artist and arts communities in the twenty-first century. Topics include: museums in flux, emerging global art markets, biennials and art fairs, the expansion and diversification of auction houses, and "the art market in the margins".
John Zarobell is Assistant Professor of International Studies at the University of San Francisco. He has held curatorial positions at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
