We're very excited to announce Remnant, Brazilian artist João Ruas' first solo exhibition in over five years.
The eternally transformative nature of the relationship between time and life has been written about and discussed throughout the ages. The absolute truth that we are not, and never will be, able to escape our path to personal ruin can be perceived as either a curse or a blessing.
This body of work has been created under the pressure of such thoughts, many of them conceived during a period surrounded by multiple metamorphosis that were not only necessary, but demanded by the crumbling of a timeline, in this case, the artist's own.
