Jim is known both for his politically charged satirical pieces about contemporary issues and personae, and sculptural teapots that combine expressionistic human and animal imagery. He draws from popular culture and classic literature as well as historical art references. In each of these contexts the work often mingles imagery that carries diverse associations about the human condition creating a sculptural collage with a poetic narrative.
