Jim Bruno's songs have been recorded by Shawn Colvin, Chuck Prophet, Mary Lou Lord, Cliff Eberhardt, Thad Cockrell, Maurice Tani and Laurie MacAllister.
As a performing songwriter he has performed with or opened shows for the following artists: Shawn Colvin, Timothy B Schmidt, Graham Parker, John Gorka, Charlie Musselwhite, Joe Ely, Greg Brown, Mary Lou Lord, Steve Forbert, Bill Morrissey, Big Twist, and Cliff Eberhardt. He's performed at the Greenwich Village Folk Festival, the Udine Folk Festival in Udine, Italy and has toured five times in Europe. He also played bass, guitar and sang in the Shawn Colvin Band for a number of years and often performed with Shawn as a duet.
He previously taught songwriting at Foothill College and at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley.

Claudia snd Bruce have a unique sound, engaging songs, with performances that are always engaging and often humorous. Always eclectic, they take their audiences on a musical journey across the vast Americana landscape, stopping at all the musical landmarks along the way, tipping their hats to Village folkies, singing cowboys, blues divas, rockabilly rebels, jazz cats, and bluegrass pickers. All of this is served up with a generous side of homespun humor and a shaggy dog story or two. 2022 marks Claudia and Bruce's 22nd year playing music together. With five CDs under their belts, they've performed almost 1000 times at festivals, house concerts, churches, bandshells and back yards. They've shared stages with some of the best - Peter Rowan, John Gorka, Tish Hinojosa, Laurie Lewis, Dave Alvin, Don Henry and Christine Lavin, to name a few. And we will be catching them direct from their 4th appearance at the New Bedford Folk Festival. All that experience (and time writing songs) makes for a deeply satisfying show. Claudia has won many accolades. She was a WUMB Artist of the Year and a 2x finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival songwriting competition. Sing Out magazine called them "Outstanding live performers" and American Songwriter magazine called their 2013 CD "a masterpiece."
