Díaz was a member of Garibaldi's influential percussion trio Talking Drums with fellow percussionist Michael Spiro, and has gone on to recordings and performances with Stevie Wonder, the Dave Matthews Band, Dizzy Gillespie, Steve Coleman, the Caribbean Jazz Project, Jane Bunnett, Mickey Hart's Planet Drum, and more.
