Jazz in the Neighborhood presents the Terrence Brewer Quartet

Jazz in the Neighborhood presents the Terrence Brewer Quartet, performing a tribute to the great saxophonist and composer, Wayne Shorter. The program will include music from Shorter's classic Blue Note jazz catalog, spanning from his seminal work to his later fusion material with Weather Report. Brewer, a multiple-award winning guitarist and 2016 inductee into the Pittsburg Arts & Entertainment Hall of Fame, counts Shorter as one of his musical heroes. Rounding out the quartet will be Art Khu on piano, Shimpei Ogawa playing acoustic bass, and Alan Hall on drums. The Emerging Artist for this event is trumpeter, Kate Williams, a member of the SFJazz High School All-Stars Band and a Jazz Search West finalist.
