SEE EVENT DETAILS
We are delighted to welcome acclaimed concert pianist Jason Sia, back to the Crocker for a dazzling performance to honor the exhibition The Roaming Eye: International Street Photography from the Ramer Collection. Sia’s masterful musicianship and stunning virtuosity will bring musical stories to life, including solo piano masterwork transcriptions like Hoedown from Aaron Copland’s Rodeo, and The Man I Love, S' Wonderful, I got Rhythm, Swanee, Fascinating Rhythm, Oh Lady Be Good and other playful selections from George Gershwin’s well-loved American Songbook. The program will also include the monumental and beautiful Grand Piano Sonata in F minor, Opus 14 (Concerto Without Orchestra) by Schumann, and other favorite works by Romantic and Impressionistic composers Chopin, Ravel, and Debussy.

Space is limited and advance registration is recommended.

In advance of Mr. Sia's piano concert, enjoy a docent-led tour of select works from the exhibition The Roaming Eye: International Street Photography from the Ramer Collection, to help put the music in context with the art. Prelude Tours are open to all visitors. This concert is part of the Crocker's monthly Classical Concert series.
