Come to Viracocha and help James the Giant kick of his "Giant Footprint Tour". Also performing is the inimitable, amazing Karina Denike and the always enjoyable Becca Richardson.
About The Performers:
JAMES THE GIANT
James the Giant is the brainchild of San Francisco based singer/songwriter James Brennan. The project is new to the world but it’s already garnering impressive attention. The debut EP, released on July 23, was supported by exclusive premieres in both the Huffington Post and USA Today.
The music is honest and direct - unadorned. As The Bay Bridged writes, “If there’s one characteristic that divides good folk music from cheesy, hokey folk, it’s the songwriter’s openness to delivering songs that sound simple and honest. James The Giant certainly falls in the category of the former.”
James will be performing with Andrew Maguire on drums and Adam Gay on upright bass.

KARINA DENIKE
Steeped in the lost eras of 1930’s torch songs and Motown, her original songs draw from sea shanties, Eastern European lullabies, doo wop drama and other unexpected sources. Her lock-solid vocal harmonies can hush rooms with a whisper and break hearts with a shout.
Denike has shared stages with The Pretenders, Fiona Apple, Beck, NOFX, The Misfits, The Buzzcocks and The Ramones at venues such as the Fillmore, The Shoreline Amphitheatre and festivals from Reading (UK) to Montreaux (Switzerland).
With a stunning voice, a killer band, and a catalog of infectiously sophisticated songs, Karina Denike is a considerable force in San Francisco and beyond. Conjuring a forgotten world of bitters and spirits, sinking ships and fighter planes, Denike’s songs are enduring and bittersweet—like a long lost friend who comes home after all these years to steal your heart.

BECCA RICHARDSON
Combining touches of folk and country with effortlessly soulful vocals, Becca Richardson is starting to make a name for herself in the San Francisco music community. A transplant from Mansfield, Ohio, Becca has spent the past two years in the bay area writing and recording her first EP, released digitally last fall. Her lyrically driven acoustic tunes are heartfelt, raw, and always highly enjoyable. Becca will be performing with Schuyler Dean on bass and banjo.
