Jake Miller with Hariz

Beyond posting up streams in the hundreds of millions, selling out tours, attracting millions of followers on social media, and earning critical acclaim, countless fan tattoos speak to the impact of Jake Miller. Fans proudly sport lyrics on their skin from "I'm Alright" and "A Million Lives," among others. As such, the Florida-raised and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer has quietly emerged as a magnetic pop presence on his own terms uplifted by world-class showmanship, no holds barred honesty, and dynamic delivery. He continues to inspire with a series of 2003 singles.
"I've seen a lot of tattoos out there," he smiles. "I've touched on some deep topics and made lifelong fans who will be with me forever. The fact that my music is still reacting with them means so much to me."
Miller only strengthens this connection to his devout audience, dubbed "The Millertary," with each subsequent release. He made major waves with 2014's Dazed and Confused EP, boasting "Dazed and Confused" [feat. Travie McCoy] and "Ghost" [feat. Nikki Flores]. On its heels, Rumors [2015] popped off as the title track "Rumors" gathered tens of millions of streams and counting. He maintained this momentum with projects such as Overnight EP [2016], 2:00am in LA [2017], and Silver Lining [2018]. Along the way, he shared the stage with everyone from the late Mac Miller and Ariana Grande to Shawn Mendes and Fifth Harmony in addition to performing on NBC's Today Show and LIVE with Kelly and Ryan. Not to mention, he lit up TikTok with over 50 million views and 10 million likes on his viral "Quarantunes."
2021's Silver Lining II marked yet another creative and critical high watermark. People exclusively premiered the album, while it received praise from EUPHORIA., Riff, and The Honey Pop who described it as an "extraordinary experience." The standout "Ross And Rachel" not only tallied 4.4 million Spotify streams, but it also inspired a handful of fan marriage proposals on stage. In support of Silver Lining II, he launched the "hi, i missed you" Tour, packing houses across North America.
Inspired by Jon Bellion, LANY, The Band CAMINO, and "old school pop punk," he continued to write and record at a prolific pace. This time around, he absorbed the light around him and projected it back to the world through the music.
"I've been in a really great place and mindset," he affirms. "I'm living in a house in L.A. with my girlfriend. I'm happier than I've ever been. I have amazing friends around me. My family is healthy. All of those elements mixed together makes for more positive music. I took a step back and dug deep into my soul. The Pandemic made me appreciate everything in my life even more. So, I've written some more fun and inspirational songs. I'm taking my time with the music. I'm trying to push boundaries and bring new ideas to the table, so I can ultimately brighten your day."
He also shines brighter than ever on his new material. Jake ultimately uplifts once again, kicking off another chapter worthy of a tattoo or two.
"When you listen to me, I just want you to feel good about yourself," he leaves off. "I'm so grateful for anyone who listens. I'm just trying to pull you out of darkness and distract you from the craziness in the world. I hope to motivate you to keep going. That's what I want people to get out of the music."

Jake Miller progressed from an early party rap style to sleek, R&B-influenced pop within a decade. Influenced by John Mayer and Macklemore, he steadily honed his vision with yearly releases, from his 2013 debut LP, Us Against Them, to the close of the decade on 2019's Based on a True Story. After a couple of singles, he got down to business with 2021's Adderall EP.

Dazed And ConfusedMiller first emerged while still a student at the University of Miami, but he got his start in high school, posting videos online from his Weston, Florida home. In 2011, he self-released his debut EP, Summer Session, and performed his first live gig opening for Snoop Dogg. His second EP, Spotlight, arrived in 2012. After signing a deal with the E1 Music label, he released the Road Less Traveled EP in 2013. That same year, he also unveiled his debut album, Us Against Them, which incorporated smooth pop hooks, acoustic heart, and Miller's introspective rapping. Continuing his one-EP-per-year schedule, he unveiled Dazed and Confused in 2014. It featured appearances from Nikki Flores and Travie McCoy. The feel-good party EP Rumors arrived in 2015. With each release, the Jake Miller sound slowly drifted toward a more R&B-pop-oriented style similar to Nick Jonas or ZAYN. It became fully apparent on his 2016 EP Overnight, which included the sleek title track. That same year, he embarked on a tour opening for Fifth Harmony.
