Jack London Square, one of the Bay Area's top dining, recreation and commercial districts (www.jacklondonsquare.com), invites the community to a feel-good, holiday-themed event called "Snowflakes at the Waterfront" on Saturday, December 4th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature a variety of upbeat, fun activities appropriate for the entire family, including selfies with Santa, a take-home kids snowflake craft, a beautiful giant snowflake photo station, a seek-and-find scavenger hunt for prizes, and free offers from Jack London Square tenants. One of the highlights of the event will be a FREE festive seasonal concert by the famous Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, a dedicated group of gospel singers that use gospel music as a symbol of hope and faith in what can be accomplished when a diverse community works together toward a shared vision. At the event, guests will also be asked to write their very own personal messages of hope and love on foam snowflakes to be displayed at the Jack London Square waterfront throughout the holidays. And together with PEERS, an organization dedicated to mental health awareness and outreach, Snowflakes at the Waterfront will shine a spotlight on the importance of de-stigmatizing mental illness, an important topic at this and every other time of year. This event is free and open to the public. To learn more, visit
