About musician & artist Mike Sugar:
Mike began exploring sound and musical structures as a kid in New Orleans. He built on that foundation by performing and recording for many years after moving to California, then touring the country. Recently a new direction emerged from solo gigs combining modern musical tools like the electric bass-cello with acoustic guitar. Ranging from rootsy to ambient, these solo gigs are intimate and dynamic. Improvisations build in layers then move right into genre jumping original songs as well as classic and deep-cut covers.
